Step into my world
The art and poetry on this site is all my own, inspired by the natural world - and my place within it. I am energized by exploring the spaces beyond my front door and have spent hours following trails through woods and fields and dunes - stopping to admire the wind whispering through the trees and the sunlight reflecting brilliantly off lakes and pools.
Forging new connections with people and nature, and within myself -, listening to the lessons from the universe is a guiding force in my life. Sharing the skills and knowledge that I have gained, and encouraging others to try new things and expand their outlook beyond what is familiar and comfortable - has shaped a significant part of the person who I am. I have worked as a teacher for many years - of piano, college music classes, yoga and offering my services as a private tutor in writing and math.
Since childhood, I have been in love with the written word and I have always been a ferocious reader and enthusiastic writer, delving into poetry, novels and journaling. Lately, I have expanded my forms of expression to include art and have thrown myself into studying watercolor painting and the digital arts. Every image on this site and in my work, from the book cover, to the illustrations which accompany the poems, to the art prints offered for sale, are designed to bring to life in a visual way the words by which they are inspired.
